黃金閱讀的一些問題 - 英檢

這句話沒錯 也在文章裡面有提到
但這句話在文章中只是用來描述石油生成的其中一個環節
所以是detail 所以不能選

: 30.The geologic history of the Mediterranean(p.232)
: 第四題答案是1: it did not contain any marine fossil
: 可是我覺得答案是2: it had formed in open-ocean conditions
: 因為第三段裡面寫到sediment above nad below the gypsum layer contained tiny
: marine fossils, indicating open-ocean conditions
: 是否是我對文章的理解有誤呢?

是的 你的理解跟文章有點出入 gypsum指的是兩層marine fossils中間的鹽層
文章提到. Furthermore, the gypsum was found to possess peculiarities of
composition and structure that suggested it had formed on desert flats
所以gypsum不是在open-ocean形成的。

這句話會理解不出來 是因為中文跟英文表達方式的不懂

這裡說得palm downward是指用掌心去壓印 palm upward是指用掌背去壓印

整句話翻譯 他也必須先假設這些掌印是用左手掌心壓出來的, 用左手掌背去壓得話

看起來就像是用右手（掌心）壓出來的
