Opera, as we think of it, is of course a rather restive form(這是啥意思!)


). It is the
melodious
drama (這個名詞也不太懂)of ancient Greek theater, the term ‘melodious drama’ being shortened
eventually to ‘melodrama’ because operas frequently are melodramatic, not to
say unrealistic.(這跟不現實又有啥關係) And the group that put the first operas together that we have
