關於送佛計畫 - 英檢

才幾天沒上來 居然有這麼多的回應 信箱裡的信還看不完
既然大家這麼好奇想知道 我就先回一下
送佛計畫是個有佛心的老師私底下發起的運動
只是私底下幫忙聽力有困難的學生 人人都歡迎
老師常常說要送我們這些小活佛到西方取經去,取完要趕快回來
因為要把我們這群佛送出去,所以,取名作 “送佛”
((不過我覺得老師其實比較想要送我們去哈佛或是史丹佛))
老師上課的方式大致上就像C大跟M大所說的互動式
讓我印象最深刻的一次是
老師要我們聽大王花那一篇
第一遍老師會讓我們聽力段子聽一次接著做完6題的題目
然後
老師要我們再聽第二遍
並再重覆作完6題的題目
((如果剛剛有考慮不周詳的~~就這時候改答案啦))
兩次之後老師才會公布答案
然後老師要我們自己去對照兩次聽力的答案
只要答案前後不一的就表示自己那個部份並不是聽的很清楚
接下來才是重頭戲啦
老師又會從頭開始放聽力大王花
但是這一次老師只會一小段一小段播聽力

characteristics would belong to the same order, but that’s not always true.
A good example of this is a flower; that’s a flowering plant. That grows
only in Malaysia and Indonesia, called Rafflesia.
然後每播一小段老師就會停下來,開始問問題
老師在這裡就會問同學說你們聽到什麼了?
一開始大家比較害羞,只有幾個人有反應
後來同學會開始發言說聽到的內容
如果大家回答不出來或是關鍵字抓錯,老師就會再播一次,但是這一次的聽力段子可能變成:

如果同學還是錯 老師就再來一遍
這一次變成:

assign a particular species to a family or an order is challenging.
如果同學沒反應接話,或是聽錯的,老師就會再縮小範圍,讓同學再重聽一次
一直到同學抓到為關鍵點為止
總之,老師就是要我們自己抓去抓到的關鍵字是
sometimes, plant classification ~~~~is ~~~~~~~challenging.
老師就一直強調~~~有沒有聽到~~challenging這個字
然後老師也會檢討每題題目,告訴我們這一題是考什麼?
像是第一題
Q1: What is the lecture mainly about?
a) different methods for classifying uncommon plants
b) the characteristics of 3 types of plants
c) difficulties in classifying an unusual type of plant
d) how DNA testing helps scientists breed rare plants
這裡是考主題,然後就每個選項一一說明
要同學知道為何自己剛剛選錯
每一次都是這樣反覆的練習
一開始覺得超累人,但老師說這就是培養語感
又拉拉雜雜的講了一大堆
反正老師大概上課的型態跟邏輯是這樣啦
所以,從這樣的互動學習中,我真的找到自己的盲點所在
聽力就講了這麼多
其他的部分還沒分享呢
累了
下次再說吧….
