錄取選校問題請教 - 留學

各位英國留學版的前輩們大家好
小弟之前第一次申請英國系統的博士班
今天收到了兩間學校的錄取通知
由於對英國的教學環境和學術聲望並非完全很理解透徹
想請教各位有經驗的前輩們對於學校的選擇以及未來回台就業機會
給我一些建議和指教 如有需要 我也願意分享我的申請心得

1. PhD for Li-ion battery research
Department of Engineering Materials/ The University of Sheffield

Program1:
3 years full-time study + 3.5-4.5 months (for thesis writing)
(with funding only three year: ￡14000/per annum)

Ps: In this case, I would be able to start my PhD work almost
immediately on arrival, but during the first two years, I would take a
number of postgraduate courses, to be selected from the range of courses
on offer.

Program2:
4 years full-time study
(with funding four year: ￡14000/per annum)

Ps: the first year involves lectures, mini projects, industry site visits and
group work, designed to give I an overview of all aspects of the Energy
Sector,covering engineering, science and social science. At the end of the first
year, I would then specialise in an area of your choice but also continue
with other activities involving the energy industry.

2. PhD for solar cell/Li-ion battery research
Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering/ Loughborough University
3 years full-time study (maybe + 3-4 months for thesis writing)
(with funding three year: ￡16000/per annum)

以知名度來說似乎是Sheffield是高了一些 但Loughborough似乎在理工方面也很不錯 想
