我目前是申請Warwick business school 的PhD program

三月底的時候 WBS的老師有打電話來面試我

就是我在申請表上有寫到可能的指導教授中的一位

台灣時間4/1晚上11點多的時候 我收到那位老師的來信

信的第一段是這樣寫的

Simon and I have now had a follow-up conversation. Let me try and express

things in an open manner, so they are really clear.

From your files and our conversation I have no doubt that you are an

intelligent and highly motivated student. So on that basis,

we will make a positive recommendation to the school to make you an offer. I

think your speaking and writing, which is always a concern with students who

do not speak English as their first language is fairly fluent, but at the same

time it would be good if you can improve it further. Simply staying in the UK,

taking classes here, and doing research here should help but you will also

need to make an active effort yourself.

這樣的意思是我會被錄取嗎? 另外 有沒有人知道大概要等多久才會收到offer

可能是我太心急 我每天都不斷check我的email信箱 但到今天還是沒有收到任何訊息

不知道一般大概都要等多久呢?


我不知道如果他們有給我offer 也有可能是con. offer

要再重新準備考試也是要時間和事先報名

(因為目前有其他事情在四月底之前都很難有時間準備英文)

另外 也很擔心耽誤到另一個學校的時間

因為另一個學校口試過後 有要求我做後續一系列的考核

如果WBS願意收留我 我就不用在白花錢了

有沒有有經驗的人可以告訴我呢? 謝謝
