Read the passage.
Folacin is another name for folic acid, a yellowish-orange compound of the
vitamin B complex group, occurring in green plants, fresh fruit, liver, and
yeast. Some people simply call it Vitamin B9. Pregnant women are said to need
around 600 mcgs per day. Some researchers propose that to help get their daily
intake, women should take a special kind of folacin by adding it to bread.
However, when all factors are considered, this does not appear to be the best
way.
