F1為前弧屈光度..t為兩共軸折射面光學中心間距(即俗稱的鏡片厚度)..則
M = [1/(1-F*d)]*[1/(1-F1*t/n)]
≒ 1 + F*d + F1*t/n

對於負度數球面鏡片..由於鏡片設計規範給予非常低的前弧屈光力..

紅線為近用(33cm)tscherning橢圓規範..
綠線為中用(1m)tscherning橢圓規範..
藍線為遠用(3m)tscherning橢圓規範..
對於負度數鏡片..要產生等同100度放大率的變動..
舉個例..
對於近視600度折射率1.6球面鏡片..
前弧屈光力我們給予較高的中用tscherning值 約4D (庫存值為 1~1.25D)
則中心厚度必須達到4.8mm !!

可以算出球心距離邊框2.5cm的小框鏡片..邊緣厚度至少 7.9 mm !!

要有更大的前弧屈光力寬容度..則必須選擇較高折射率..
中用tscherning ellipse規範線性近似式
折射率1.56 F1 = 7.957 + 0.739*F
折射率1.6 F1 = 8.645 + 0.736*F
折射率1.67 F1 = 9.964 + 0.791F
舉個例..換成1.67鏡片..前弧屈光力可為5D ..中心厚度要 4 mm

較高折射率可以獲得較低的邊緣厚度
舉個例..同樣情況下..換成1.67鏡片..邊緣厚度仍至少 6.8mm !!

改變前弧屈光力會偏離鏡片設計規範..
但可以靠非球面設計來躲開規範限制..
但市面上的非球面曲面設計都是將光學中心前弧屈光力貼近為 0..

改變頂點距離是較可行的方式
隨然會偏離鏡片設計規範..
一般可以接受將頂點距離加大..避開中遠距離散光誤差的增加..
因此是可行的..
