前一陣子再忙申請以及找工作的事情,
導致現在才開始著手寫 S & W 部分的心得及技巧…
讓板友等這麼久,小弟心中真是萬分過意不去 >"<
好了,讓我們立刻切入主題。
背景及使用教材,之前都分享過了。
這篇著重在 Speaking & Writing的技巧以及對教材的分析。
Speaking 部分 –
這一部分,雖然小弟的分數不是特別突出,
但仍希望一些小技巧能給各位板友些許的幫助。
首先要提的就是,我回答Speaking的六小題時,皆有使用模板。
因為TOEFL speaking回答的內容,都有一定的架構可遵循。
後面會一一敘述這些架構。
第一及二題 Independent tasks:
1.回答架構一率如下
先破題
支持理由一
支持理由二
支持理由三 (optional)
結論 (optional)
2.回答內容則一定要為 "個人相關經驗"
甚麼意思呢? 舉個例子來說明。
"What kind of novels do you prefer? Scientific novels or Historical novels?"
第一段 "一定要馬上說明”你喜歡甚麼樣子的小說。
"I prefer scientific novels to historical novels." (破題)
第二段 "接著理由一,並舉個人經驗當實例。"
"First of all, scientific novels always stimulate my creativity and
imagination." (理由一)
"Every time I read scientific novels, I can try to guess or predict the
development of the stories." (個人經驗支持理由一)
"Sometimes, the stories just develop in the same way as my prediction! It is
really interesting and exciting." (接續上一句)
接著依此類推,每一段的內容約為三到五句不等。
3.接著是掌握時間技巧。
大家一定都有回答得太快或太慢的經驗,這時候時間要怎麼掌
握呢?小弟個人的原則是:
回答時間剛好 > 回答時間過多 > 回答時間過少
也就是寧可時間到都還沒回答完,也不可以時間還沒到就先講完!
所以板友們可以發現,我上面的架構,理由三跟Conclusion 是optional。
就是萬一時間到了,沒講這兩段沒關係,但是一定要把時間用完!
4.練習教材: 黃金口說80題。
我個人以及我同學們的經驗,考題幾乎沒超出過黃金口說80題。
所以務必將此列為第一練習考量。
5.內容準備要 "一魚多吃"!
甚麼意思呢?就是練習一套內容,套到許多題目上。
我想這部分黃金口說80題就有提到了,板友可以參考一下。
接著是第三題Integrated task。
1.Reading Passage一定跟校園事件有關。
Conversation部分,學生一定會就此事件同意或反對。
2.注意力放在掌握學生同意或反對的態度,以及學生提出的觀點。
3.回答可採用下列格式:
Okay, the two students have different opinions / They both agree…(破題)
或
Okay, the man tends to agree/disagree with XXX plan of the university. (破題)
First of all, he points out that REASON1. (觀點一)
Furthermore, he also mentions that REASON2 (觀點二)
In addition, he further indicates that REASON3 (觀點三)
That is the reason why the man agrees/disagrees with the plan. (Brief Conclusion)
4. 一樣寧可時間到都還沒回答完,也不可以時間還沒到就先講完!
第四題 integrated task跟第三題大同小異。
1.Reading Passage 會是一個 General and abstract terms。
而 Lecture會針對這些概念舉出specific and concrete的例子。
2.能力許可的話,要盡量同意字代換。
3.回答格式如下:
Okay, the lecturer talks about the concept of TOPIC. (破題)
Also, he provides two examples to further explain the concept. (承先啟後)
The first example is that EXAMPLE1. (例子一)
The second example is that EXAMPLE2 (例子二)
As a result, according to the lecturer, the TOPIC is that GENERAL EXPLANATION.
第五題 integrated task。
1.回答一定要包含三部分,缺一不可。
Briefly describe the problem.
State the possible solutions.
Give out your preference and reasons.
(Reasons mainly based on the speaker’s opinion, and minor on your personal
related experience)
2.記得一定每部分都要提到 (都叫整合題了)!
快沒時間的話,就趕快跳到第三段。一定一定要說出自己的選擇。
以下提供個例子:
The man has the problem that…
There are two possible solutions for him to solve the problem.
The first solution is that…
The second solution is that…
Between these two solutions, I prefer the second one, because…
第六題 integrated task。
1.基本上不要參雜個人意見,只要summarize lecture and answer the questions。
2.例子如下:
Okay, the lecturer talks about the concept of TOPIC. (破題)
Also, he provides two examples to further explain the concept. (承先啟後)
The first example is that EXAMPLE1. (例子一)
The second example is that EXAMPLE2 (例子二)
上面針對Speaking的部分,有些是老生常談,有些出自OG,有些則是個人經驗。
小弟整理出幾個方向讓各位板友參考,希望多少會有幫助。
寫完Speaking部分了,比我想像中還久。
