昨天Joyce 老師在做聽力講座時發現
有很多同學對於這一回TPO(4) Conversation 1 的重播題的答案有疑問。
所以，在此分享解答。
也特別提醒同學，有時候網路上面TPO的解答，不是100%正確。
原文:
Listen again to part of the conversation, then answer the question.
Man: I should start with newspaper reviews…
Woman: Contemporary reviews
Man: Sorry? (語氣上揚)
Woman: You want contemporary reviews. What’s the name of the play?
Why does the woman say this:
Contemporary reviews (語氣下降)
A To ask the man to clarify his request
B To state the man’s request more precisely
C To make sure that she heard the man correctly
D To correct a mistake the man has made
從上下文的內文，我們知道。
1.男同學要newspaper reviews,圖書館管理員回他，contemporary reviews。
2.男同學語氣上揚回說: Sorry?
可見得，男同學不了解圖書館員，幹嘛跟他說contemporary reviews
3.所以，女生才會再一次對他說: You want contemporary reviews。
因此，當題目問各位，為什麼女生說"Contemporary reviews"，
當然是讓男同學知道，這個東西叫做"Contemporary reviews" 而非 "newspaper reviews"
也就是說，男同學用錯字，講錯話，大家同意嗎??
所以，女生的目的當然是在Correct a mistake (D)
很多同學問，為什麼答案不是(B) ?
請大家將選項Ｂ再看清楚一點
B選項:To state the man’s request more precisely的意思是說，女生覺得男生話講得
不清楚，所以，他在重申男生的話。
但事實上，我們從上下文很清楚知道，男生有清楚交代他要甚麼，
且說SORRY(在此表疑問)是男生說，又非女生。
所以，是男生聽不清楚女生的意思
因此，選項Ｂ當然是錯的, ok!
