since用法 - 英檢

since能取代because 嗎？＠＠
我google好久...
感覺這樣的用法還蠻少的，只知道since用作解釋原因的時候
有弱化且在敘述已知原因(大家都知道的)時才用。
我之前寫作文時都直接把since 放在because 的位置使用，
補習班老師沒有糾正我...但是最近有朋友覺得我的用法怪怪的
ex: Money is very useful since we can buy anything we want with it.
不知道這樣的用法對嗎？
時態上的使用或者其他地方有沒有需要注意的地方？
