2015第一季考情分析＋高機率閱讀分享 - 英檢

各位版友好，我是J2 (Jacob)

今天要跟眾版友分享的是2015年第一季（一至三月）考情，
並分享一篇高機率閱讀給同學。

根據這幾個月考試，J2發現閱讀都來是2014年大陸（亞洲區）的考題，
例如最近一次3/14考試，
三篇閱讀就分別從20140629CN, 20140712CN, 及20141109CN各挑一題出來
考，
可見接下來幾個月，就「閱讀」部分，去年亞洲區的考題是出題重點方向。

以下也分享一篇20140629CN剩下的兩篇其中一篇，
在未來幾個月考試都極有可能考出！

另外口說部分則以重複2013年北美地區考試居多，
一樣以3/14考試為例，
則是由四套2013年北美＋一套2012年北美考題拼湊的套題，
所以剩下的題目都是接下來出題重點方向。

主題是有關Gender Roles in Early Horticulture and Agriculture

根據學生回憶及幾年來整理機經資料，
J2預測此篇文章可能講到的重點及考點如下：

首先當然要先了解horticulture跟agriculture的差別，
horticulture若直接查http://www.learnersdictionary.com/definition/
horticulture,
解釋是the science of growing fruits, vegetables, and flowers,
agriculture則是：the science or occupation of farming,
簡單來說horticulture是園藝、agriculture就是我們熟悉的農業。

然而，在其他文章中有提到，其最大的差別應是工具的使用：
Crop planting that was done by individuals using hoes and digging
sticks is often termed horticulture, to distinguish it from the
later agriculture that used plows.

既然文章提到gender roles, in horticulture societies, 女生主要負責
種植：
In horticultural societies, women appear to have retained control
of the crops they planted and they had high social status.

講到gender roles, 此類文章也常會提到父系社會(patriarchy) or 母系社
會(matriarchy);
還有一個延伸出來的類似的概念：patrilocal and matrilocal.
Matrilocal 簡單的來說就是結婚後，husband離開自己家去跟wife住，
Patrilocal 則剛好相反，husband待在自己從小長大的地方，而wife必須離
開自己家裡跟husband住，跟我們現在社會非常類似。

較特別的是，在horticulture societies裡，兩者是並存的！

另一段有提到：如何確定是women作這些agricultural work的呢？
是來自一些grave的陪葬品。
在一些women的墳墓裡，都找到了一種叫quern的工具（據同學回憶，有特別
解釋，無須背誦）
quern是一種手搖的磨，當時拿來把作物例如flour磨成粉

而在一些男性的grave裡，大部分都只找到arrowheads.
所以可以確定，horticulture的社會，
女生是主要的作物生產者,男性則負責打獵。

另一大重點主要是plow agriculture 帶來的改變。
從Mesopotamian cylinder seals上的depictions記載，
開始看到男人使用牛拉著犁耕作:
The earliest depictions of cattle being used to pull carts and
plows are on Mesopotamian cylinder seals, which also indicate that
plowing was a task done by men.

原本女性從事的工作從主要由男性負責,
而女性則改負責spinning and weaving of cloth.

這幾年(from 2013) 不同文明的農業、生活方式、工業化人口成長等都是閱
讀愛考的主題，
