文法改錯 - 英檢

: 不知道這句話錯在哪裡了，有請大大指出~~
: 有做功課查到 take part in = participate in =join
: * The news he had an accidet this morning surprised me.
: 這句也不知道哪裡有錯，一陷入文法改錯中，真的很需要旁觀者XD~
accidet拼錯字><....accident...這算文法錯誤嗎..^^;;;

....我覺得這句話應該ok..
不過硬要說的話，會不會是時態？
accident發生在surprised之前，所以要用pp?
The news he had had an accident this morning surprised me.
