"橫臥在太平洋，台灣如條鯨魚，優游於海上，自古即有「鯤島」雅稱。過去臺江內海一
帶，今台南安平附近，即有所謂的「一鯤鯓、二鯤鯓…七鯤鯓」、著名風景區馬沙溝附近
，亦有所謂「青鯤鯓、南鯤鯓」，皆是指江海上的小島之意。"
文學家葉石濤說：「台南是一個適合人們作夢、幹活、戀愛、結婚、悠然過活的地方」
帶著對這片土地的依戀，以及對台南的熱愛，我們開了一間名為鯤島的餐酒館。
用府城的食材入菜，佐南瀛的味道入酒；
帶點時代的痕跡，摻點各地的玩味；
讓每個來訪的旅人，都能感受到這座城市的點點滴滴。
