請問一些文法 - 英檢

前後兩句有"儘管這個是真的，但是那個也是真的"這種對比的感覺，

而while才能表達這種意涵，相似詞有despite the fact that.../though...。

其實as也有近似though的用法，

但是因為as的用法較多，使用上常作倒裝才能較明確表達對比:

White or colorless as light appears, it is actually...

相同用法還有 ridiculous as it seems.../try as he might...等。


: 2. As he went back to his old school, everything looked smaller than
: Don remembered.
: 而這一句 想請問的也跟上句類似, 為何不能用 While 或 When?

as, while, when都可以用來表示"某件事情發生的同時，另一件事也在進行中"，

其中when也可以用來連接在某個"時間點"發生的兩件事。

when沒有什麼不對: 當他回到學校(的時候)，發現學校的事物比印象中小了些

用as/while的感覺: 他回學校的過程中，發現...

或許while"進行"的意味比較重，

若將go back to改成wander through/walk/stroll in比較自然。
