屏東市國民運動中心昨天動土，將斥資三億三千萬元打造四層樓、二十六公尺高、佔地二
百五十坪的運動館場建築新地標，預計明年十一月完工。
動土典禮由屏東市長葉壽山主持，立委王進士、屏東縣議長黃國安及前總統府秘書長曾永
權等人應邀參與，工程經費由體育署補助二億元，地方自籌一億三千萬元，運動中心坐落
屏東市勝利東路，緊臨千禧公園和市立游泳池。
葉壽山表示，該中心以城市美學的觀點進行設計，充滿現代感，完工後，將有助於提升屏
東「健康城市」形象。
國民運動中心一樓規劃有大廳、餐廳、行政辦公室等，二樓有健身房、飛輪教室、有氧教
室等、三樓有桌球館、武術館、撞球館及遊戲館等，四樓有籃球場、羽球場、溜冰場等，
是一座多功能運動館場，將採收費方式經營。
葉壽山表示，該中心舒適、寬敞的活動空間和設備，可提高市民入館健身意願，增加運動
人口，漂亮的建築外觀還能吸引遊客造訪，發揮觀光效益。
