上周末聯絡一位有興趣的教授,


教授昨天晚上很迅速地回我信表示學校政策是感興趣的學生應該向program申請


原文如下

Dera XXX,

It is University policy that prospective students must first apply to
the graduate program and then, if accepted, they can contact possible
mentors. So, feel free to apply to NTP and ask to meet with me when you
come for the interview.

然而我看這個program的網頁上說

Prospective students are encouraged to communicate directly with faculty of
interest

International Prospective Applications should directly contact professors of
interest to inquire about lab space and funding.

所以這應該是教授的婉轉拒絕還是我誤解了學校政策?
