消防局強調，掃墓火災多，勢必耗費龐大滅火水源，呼籲民眾務必遵守「4不2記得」，即雜草不亂燒、菸蒂不亂丟、爆竹不燃放、金紙不飛揚，另外還要記得滅餘燼、記得收垃圾。有鑑於明、後天仍是掃墓熱季，呼籲民眾掃墓期間減少使用火源，避免飛灰餘燼引燃雜草造成山林火災，並注意「人離火滅」原則，確實澆滅金紙餘燼。
