恆春人的心聲：我們需要鐵路

「我們非常需要鐵路！」屏東縣的火車只行駛到枋寮就轉往南迴線，來往恆春半島的民
眾，一直是以公路為交通動線，屏東縣議員曾瓊慧比較客運與火車的票價，發現屏東
到枋寮的客運車票比火車貴上許多，有家長反映在外地念書的孩子根本不敢常回家，
因為票價實在太貴了。
目前縱貫線火車只到枋寮，枋寮以南稱為南迴線，其中枋山站是接近半島的一站；曾
瓊慧說，如果從枋山計算，只要再30多公里就可以到恆春，「只差30多公里而已」，
希望恆春鐵路能早日實現。
屏東縣政府城鄉發展處長李吉弘表示，縣府也曾經向鐵路局反映過地方的心聲，鐵路
局甚至曾經計畫從楓港到恆春規畫一條輕軌路線，但是現在看起來，計畫還很遙遠，
縣府只能大力行銷以刺激客運承載量，希望未來達到降價目標。
「太不合理了，為什麼獨獨恆春半島沒有鐵路？」曾瓊慧指出，恆春半島觀光資源豐富
，卻偏偏沒有鐵路，除了假日塞車的問題讓地方頭痛外，火車票價與客運票價一差千
里，讓恆春人不服氣。
目前火車只到枋寮就轉往南迴線，以屏東到枋寮的自強號來說，票價只有91元，復興號
只要59元，而客運屏東到枋寮要137元，到恆春更要286元，如果是高雄到恆春還要329
元，她說交通費已成為偏鄉民眾的一大負擔。
曾有家長向她反映，在外地念書的3個孩子根本不敢每個星期跑回家，因為一趟就要300
多元，3個孩子來回一趟就要1、2千元，「這麼貴，孩子想家也只能忍著了」，曾瓊慧
說，希望中央能聽到地方的聲音，重新考慮把鐵路延伸到恆春。
