因應強颱「莫蘭蒂」颱風對高雄造成受災嚴重，大量路樹、招牌倒塌阻礙通行及水電供應中斷，影響市民安全甚重。高雄市政府根據「天然災害停止上班上課作業辦法」第四條第三款規定，宣布9月15日(零時起，全天)停止上班、上課。
