電影《十二夜》引發社會關注收容所內動物生死議題，安樂死是否是這些悲慘動物唯一的
路？答案是否定的，因為嘉義市就創造了連續8個月零安樂死的奇蹟。
《台灣新聞動物網》指出，嘉義市動物守護協會去年5月在眾人聲援下，前往嘉義市政府
抗議，要求市府改善收容環境、不主動巡捕、捕犬過程必須人道等要求，嘉義市長黃敏惠
答應大多數要求，動物守護協會於是介入處理流浪動物的過程，並將收容所資訊公開、強
力宣傳推廣領養，並主動尋求民間收容所收養。這樣的努力，繳出了漂亮的成績單，嘉義
市在去年各縣市公立收容所中，認養率為78%全台最高，且數字大幅領先第2名的台東55%
，且繳出了連續8個月零安樂死的成績，是官民共治的最佳合作。（盧麗蓮／綜合報導）
