TPO9 自然科閱讀筆記法 - 英檢

最近很多戰友詢問 人文.歷史類的閱讀方法
我們先來看看 科學類的閱讀方法

我自己閱讀的時候並不會區分文章的型態
但是對於段落的發展 會特別注意

很多戰友分數常常在summary題出現問題
但是很少有人問

這裡提供一下我的方法

我的閱讀的筆記相當精簡
主要記載的內容讓我可以在summary使用

同時加速我的閱讀速度

THE ARRIVAL OF PLANT LIFE IN HAWAII(TPO9)
Q1.題目要不要看？
Ans: 要看 常常可以找到線索
ARRIVAL of PLANT , HAWAII
到達 所以這篇雖然是自然的內容 我預測寫法會像是歷史 有先後順序
因此決定我的筆記型態 應該是
1. => 2. => 3.

另外一種 像是美所不達米雅 VS 埃及
請用對比的方式 建立表格

主角是植物 地點夏威夷

考過GRE的戰友 翻翻 吳中東 P.530 夏威夷植物種子的傳播
內容不一樣 不過主題方向類似 ETS 出題真的有喜歡的範圍

1. wind (第一段 夏威夷誕生 所以確定時間是順序的寫 不是倒序)
重點就是風帶來生命

2. Spores light enough 承接上一段 最初的種子由風力吹來 所以是輕的孢子
These are not single individual plants
看到spore自然組的請警覺一下 這說的不一定是蕨類植物的孢子
有可能是真菌
果然下方寫 這是 symbiotic combination of an alga and a fungus
藻類與真菌的共生體:lichen

3. Lichens helped to 幫助 (ETS喜歡考 優點.缺點.特點)
: ferns and mosses (two of the most ancient types of land plants)
: 舉例 (補充說明) 蕨類 與 苔蘚
通常()是很明顯的 閱讀會先注意到

因為出現了另外的植物種類 所以 summary的重點 1. = lichen
2.ferns and mosses 出現

4.(but long before the Hawaiian Island were born from the sea),
seed-bearing plant, the angiosperm, includes all forms of
blooming vegetation.


5.Plants with large, buoyant seeds-like coconuts-drift 種子植物 漂來的

6.總結 沒有新資訊

的arrival 請不要把題目忘記了

B. 先刪除錯的 與主詞不符的 再刪除 次要的
Answers Choices
1. Algae are classified as symbiotic because
they produce energy through the process of photosynthesis.

因果句 這裡沒有探討因果 應該有陷阱
仔細一看Algae被分類為共生 錯了 lichen 才是共生

2. The first successful plants on Hawaii were probably lichens,
which consist of algae and fungi living in a symbiotic relationship.
The first 原本最高級有危險 不過我們的筆記如此
同時ETS用了probably 不會武斷
救了這個選項

3. Lichens helped create favorable conditions

有優點 , 有第二主角 ok
4. Seed-bearing plants evolved much later than spore-producing plants,
but both types of plants had evolved well before the formation

這句有兩個警告 1.轉折 2.比較

ETS出題還是有依照文法的 ....,but ...應該先看 後面的句子
這句話根據我們()中的內容 是對的
但是 這句話並沒有提到 兩種植物到達夏威夷的關係

所以這是次要的內容

5. Unlike spores, seeds must move to new habitats
in order to have a strong chance of survival and growth.
比較 種子與孢子
偏離主題 跟4.錯的一樣

所以可知 summary中出現比較 先後 方向 都要注意

6. Seed-bearing plants arrived and spread quickly in Hawaii,
thanks to characteristics that increased their seeds' ability
to survive and to move to different areas.
種子植物 thanks to characteristics
有優點 有特徵 好選項

請不要忘了是summary所以常見 特徵只寫出characteristics 而非寫明內容

方法二
對於文法分析沒有信心 或 常常怕選錯的戰友
可以這樣 文章有幾段 就寫
1.Wind
2.Spores , lichen , symbiotic
3.Lichens helped to >> (這是我的符號 >> 表示加速 or 遠大於) 軟土
中英並用有時可以更快
4.seed-bearing plant,
5.buoyant seeds-like coconuts-drift on ocean

6.By means of these seeds
根據6的總結
我們知道這篇文章 除了時間順序 . 植物種類之外
還有一個結構就是不同的種子
所以根據種子分類

1.2.段 = lichen
3.= lichen + ferns and mosses *first land plants (表最高級)
4.5seed-bearing plant

接下來把選項分類
1. Algae X
2. lichens
3. Lichen help spore-producing plants
4. Seed-bearing plants <- spore-producing plants , -> Haw
<- (左邊比右邊晚 所以是倒序) , -> (左邊比右邊 早)

6. Seed-bearing plants

分類完成 兩邊比較就可以找出答案
