: 因為when+S+V可以改寫成V-ing就好，所以就變成carrying而已。
: 這裡的they就是前面的these slowly moving masses of ice，也就是前面講的glaciers。
: 這裡的carry的確是像alonestory板友所說，就是單純的carry something with someone。
