The university announces that students need to move out of their
dorm. The building will be used for faculty housing. The reading
passage states two reasons for this action. First, there is not
enough housing for faculty on campus and, second, faculty can live
close to their work places.

The man disagrees with the plan. The man lives in the dorm himself
and he feels really convenient living there because the dorm is
centrally located and is close to both the cafeteria and the
student center. The faculty has no need for both facilities so it
will be a waste.

Secondly, the man believes faculty members will be able to find
better housing in the downtown area. Since all faculty members
have cars, distance between their residence and their work places
is something they don’t really care about.
