聽力：女學生說太好了，第一，她是個音樂家，彈吉他又唱歌，這樣的話給像她這
樣的學生提供了表演機會，練習在觀衆前放鬆表演，還有怎麽用麥克風什麽的。第二，音
樂會是免費的，這樣的話好多學生可以不用擔心負擔不起。男聲基本上就隨聲附和...

4。閱讀：behavior perserance,就是說很多情況下人們相信什麽事，即使過後知道這是
不對的，但是還會繼續做...
聽力：教授以自己經驗告訴大家，小時候媽媽說如果不穿暖和了就不讓出去...要不
然會感冒，但是，長大後才知道是感冒病毒引起感冒，並不是溫度，冬天感冒幾率反而最
小，雖然知道是錯的，但是還是繼續執行，而且還讓他的孩子冬天出去時也要穿得暖暖的
。

5。男女生討論周末學校的ski trip,女生說她很想去，但是cousin周六要來找她。男生給
了兩了suggestions，第一，讓她cousin周五來，這樣的話周六日可以去ski；第二，讓女
生只參加部分ski trip，周日自己開到山上。（問題問你的建議，當時徹底把自己的建議
部分忘了...大家注意）

6。關於人類行爲如何影響native fish。 第一，人類爲了船運，連接了好多湖和海，引
進了新魚群，或大型的海魚，有的會變成native fish的praditor，降低得native fish的
數量；第二，改變了湖的溫度。人類爲了造房伐樹，但是本來樹是可以遮陽，從而降低湖
水溫度的，低溫的湖水會帶來更多的氧氣，但是現在氧氣減少了，native fish就會窒息
而死...



寫作
1。閱讀：**節島上巨石人像怎麽運過去的...三個說法，pulling, walking, rolling.
2。教授說三個都不對...
第一，如果pulling的話需要好多人力，島上確實有很多人力，但是那個時候大家都分撥
競爭，不可能聚在一起搬運...
第二，如果walking(會有圖，其實就是滾著走...)，石像會有磨損，尤其是底部，但是沒
有在現有的石像上發現磨損。
第三，如果rolling的話，有一個問題，小島很hilly，速度不好控制，尤其是有下坡時，
速度會加快without notice，所以石像很容易摔成好幾塊，但是島上沒有發現任何碎片
...

2。do you agree or disagree that government should spend more money on
education for young children than in university.

whichmay hold the shadow are cutting down by people, and the sunshine makes
the sealack of oxygen, so it increases the temperature which makes fishes
die.

Writing Section:
1. Reading: the moai, one kind of statue, were considered that by pulling
rollsto move, or by "walking" on its angles, or by moving with wood logs.
Lecture: the professor denies: 1. (not sure) required a largepopulation;
2. if walking on angles, there will have some damages on its base,but it
didn't; 3. if out of controlled, the moai would fall into sleds,
butscientists did not find any under sleds.

2. A/DA: the government should spend more money on education of very
youngchildren than the education of universities.

◎ C地的路，很神奇，小介紹一下；關於其最初的用途衆說紛紜，其一說法是用來trade
，然後慢慢變成政治集會和宗教聚會的場合。另一神奇之處在于有些路根本沒終點，雖然
現在假設路和路之間應該原來有連接，而應把它們平湊起來，但這個假設可能是錯誤的。
這麽奇怪的分佈但是有一段都集中到north, 猜測north是當年spiritual的某種歸屬，原
因在於C人的後裔現在也把North視爲很重要的direction。

◎ 貌似是珠江三角洲？最初種米，沒有商業化，雖然市場和産量都有增加，但增率和人
口一樣，因此不視爲 commercialism。1500之後開始commercialism。因爲廣州漁業的需
求，改成魚塘並種果樹；因爲世界各地對silk的需求（portuguese買了後賣給日本，廣州
和福建商人直接把silk運到manila，兩種買賣都是以silver支付），果樹種植改爲
mulberry, 因mulberry是蠶的食物。有鑒於fish pond&fruit trees相互扶持的關係，
silk産業得以順暢擴張。

◎ half uncontious sleeping for whale and dolphin. Half of the brain will
sleep for 2 hours, only 1 eye open, the contious half brain will pay
attention to the environment/danger and make sure the whale come to the
surface to breath. An article stating that the mother whale will not sleep
for a whole month because of the infant; not necessarily true, the infant
need to breath every 30 sec? and the infant has not fat yet therefore it
needs to swim all the time to keep up body temprature.

已經做了NE教育的課題，該女執意改方向；老師認爲不該做大改動，建議做該native
american education的課題，老師要check是否她的必修課有修完，女生要將該native
american的culture和language做selectives.
◎ 女生去studio art 見某主管，瞭解某種古典作畫方式；她個人喜愛的現代畫家JJ也是
用這種畫法，她打算在project的最前面幾分鐘illustrate這個畫法，詢問主管可否指導
；主管有一個好朋友正好來校，客座講一堂關於該畫法的可，歡迎該女生來聽。
◎ 男生去圖書館 想瞭解莎翁作品當中有多少是基於事實，多少是改動；找不到相應的資

趕不上他3天後就要交project；圖書館人員建議他參與一個pilot project，該project可
以免費在網上看該男生所需要的書，但是有一個很長的questionnaire要填，有學生抱怨
該問卷太麻煩；男生還是決定參加pilot project.

的綠，還要加其他顔色。牛頓同學提出關於顔色的光譜學說。A從心理學？的角度切入，
試圖找出 relationship between color and emotion，未遂，但找出色與色之間的關係
。B也是想找顔色和情緒之間關係，找到，並提出primary color的理論並寫信給A。A這個
不要臉的傢夥用了B的理論出版了一本關於顔色的書；雖然在書最後附上B的信，但是堅稱
they happened to find the primary color at the same time, the letter from B
does not influence A.

3. Coffee shop on campus plan to have live music performed by students on
Friday night started next month; the store manager believed that student will
largely participate in both performance and attendence for the concert. The
female student would like to participate playing guitar and singing. This
kind of live music in this area cost a lot; compared to that, the coffee shop
provids affordable live music experience.

4. Belief perseverance. believe is based on available information; even the
information is proved to be wrong, people still hold the same belief. i.e.
speaker was told by his mom that if he does not wear jacket, hat, and gloves
in the winter and go outdoors, he would catch the cold. When he grew up, he
understand that winter is least possible to catch cold because the cold
virus, the reason for getting cold, is less in winter. However, he still told
his son to wear jacket, hat, and gloves before going out of the house.

5. schedule conflicts. skii trip of this weekend, however, her cousin is
coming for a conference in town and would like to have dinner with her on
Saturday night.

Solution 1. ask the cousin to come on Friday night instead, therefore, she
can still go for the trip from Saturday to Sunday.

Solution 2. have dinner with her cousin on Saturday, and join the trip on
Sunday for a couple hours.

are predetors of native fish. b. by cutting trees, left nothing to block the
sunshine, increase the water temprature, less oxegeon, death of fish.

1. Easter Island 大石像如何從interior 搬到coast; pulling, walking, rolling,
lecturer 反對 分別因爲：沒有足夠人力pulling；石像底座沒有損壞 所以不是walking
；rolling也不對 因爲go down the hill不可能不不搞碎石像。

2. For successful development of a country, should a government focus its
budget more on very young children education rather than on universities?
